We will be moving to the Knoxville Tennessee area this summer from the NorthWest.  We are currently part of a cow share program here and getting raw milk.  We have seen major changes in our son's health since being on the raw milk so I would like to have a contact before we move so we can get set up to have access to raw milk right away.  Does anyone know of a clean reputable farm providing this service?  Any info would be appreciated!  Thanks, Julie

I live in a different state, so I don't personally know a farm in TN that could help you. However, I highly recommend getting on www.realmilk.com (they are affiliated with Weston Price Foundation) because they have listings of farms that offer raw milk in each state Wink From there you can get contact information and then go check out the farm Smiley

Hope you find a source,
Jenna

p.s. It is amazing how much better raw milk is for you!!! We love our goats milk, and all of our customers love it too Grin The health benefits are awesome  Shocked

Yeah, we get raw cows milk. Awesome stuff! We have some friends that get it also, and they are allergic to the milk in the store, but they can drink this stuff just fine. When Dad and Edith drink store bought milk flavored water, they get a small reaction, and they don't with the raw milk.

I would suggest that you just ask around local farms. They can all syphon off milk for you before pasturiesation. Ask what way they farm, obviously organic is what you would probably want to aim for. We get raw milk from a friends farm each week. Yes, raw milk will keep quite happily in the fridge for that long. All the best in your search.

Did you know that originally pasturiesation of milk was banned in the USA while here in the UK there was no such objection!

You are very right.  In most states (there are still a few which do allow the sale of raw milk) raw milk is illegal.  That is why farmers sell shares.  This is the same as buying the animal (the share price), however you pay the farmer to care for your animal (the price of the milk).  This is legal.  We have heard people speak from the USDA and they have said that they can't make it illegal.   Grin Cheesy
